Materials
Archival paper, pigment ink, and a true matte finish. No gloss, no glare, no shortcuts.
200gsm fine art stock
Smooth matte finish, FSC-certified, enhanced-uncoated. Glare-free display with accurate colour reproduction.
Pigment giclée, 12-channel
Pigment-based inks rated by the manufacturer at a hundred years of gallery display without visible fade. Wider colour gamut than standard CMYK.
True matte, no coating
Zero sheen. Reads cleanly under window light, gallery spots, or a lamp — no glare, no reflections, no fingerprints.
Trimmed 8mm border
Clean white border on every side so it sits inside a standard frame with a mount or drops straight into a clip frame.
In the room
Seven reference shots — how the poster sits in a real room, against frames, under light.
Packaging
Every Spin print ships in a rigid protective tube from the nearest press — no bending, no creasing, no dented corners. Unroll, flatten overnight under a couple of books, and it’s wall-ready. Tracking included on every order.
Details
Screens emit light. Paper reflects it. Colours shift a little — particularly bright saturated tones and dark blacks — because the preview is rendered in RGB and the print is laid down in pigment ink on matte paper. Our render engine already tones down the extremes to match what the press produces, but expect a slightly softer palette than the on-screen preview.
Album covers come through exactly as the artist released them — no watermarks, no edits. Explicit words in the tracklist are censored with asterisks.
Search runs against our full catalogue — millions of releases. If something's missing, it's usually because the record was pulled from distribution, is region-locked, or is filed under a slightly different title. Try the artist's name plus a fragment of the album, or get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
We pull the highest resolution artwork available — usually around 3000 × 3000 pixels, more than enough for A1. Resolution depends on what the artist or label uploaded to distribution, so it varies from release to release and we can't improve beyond the source. On the rare older record where the source is smaller, the preview will look visibly softer than usual — if that happens before you order, pick a smaller size, or email us and we'll hand-source better artwork where one exists. Because the preview shows the exact source we print from, we unfortunately can't refund orders where the album you picked turned out to have lower-resolution artwork.
Yes — add one size, go back to the product, pick another size, add again. Each variant lives on its own line in the cart so you can print a small A3 for a bookshelf and an A1 for the wall in the same order.
Get in touch within 14 days with a photo of the damage and the packaging. We'll reprint and re-ship at no cost — no need to return the original.
